Silvertree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 412 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, wavy trunk covered in very thick, silky, brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is black with white speckles.

The branches are very long and thin and are covered with sparse amounts of soft, small, pleated leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are slate and silver.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, subtle red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

Several parts of the moss have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
