Crimson Petal

Flower type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is thick, and the small, orange leaves are very thin with wavy edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

A single large flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 17 cm (6.7 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of crimson. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 29 petals. They are hardy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like blood, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but only one species in particular.

The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
