Silvervine

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short creeper is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 5 feet (1.5 meters) and growing as high as 248 feet (75.6 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 9 months for the silver stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are tough and woody.

The slender, pointed, soft leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are either silver, or beige with light orange edges, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces lots of large sky blue flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of large fruits.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It is overwhelmingly resistant to fire damage.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
