Bloodvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 113 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of sturdy, twisting stems covered in fine, waxy, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches trail down towards the ground that and are covered with large amounts of small, long, tapering, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either blood red, or beige with green zig-zags, flexible and soft.

It produces thousands of tiny, aquamarine flowers with fan-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like apple. In late autumn it forms medium-sizedbrown, spiky-shelled seeds.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
