Climbing Ivy Vine

This giant vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,504 feet (458.4 meters) and growing as high as 363 feet (110.6 meters).

It takes 47 years for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2.0 feet (61 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The perforated, soft leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are light red on the edges and light brown at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces copious amounts of average gentle green flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of small berries.
