Burgundy Vine

This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 496 feet (151.2 meters) and growing as high as 72 feet (21.9 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 5 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1.3 feet (41 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The broad, flat, sticky leaves reach up to 11 inches (28 cm) in length. They are found in olive and olive varieties, and have toothed edges.
