Yellow-Brown Tree

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1480 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, curved trunk covered in very thick, ridged, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the very dense wood is white.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright, covered with thick bunches of large, gray-green needles. The needles themselves are flimsy.

In late summer it produces large, red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
