Copperleaf

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several branched, slanted stems covered in ridged, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are short and thin that and are covered with small amounts of small, fan-like, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are orange on the edges and copper at the center, flexible and rough.

In late spring it produces large amounts of small, yellow flowers with finger-like petals. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like pot-purri.
