Crimson Moss

This gold and faded red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In heathlands, On rotten logs, and In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is slightly light.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores.
