Brown Moss

This light brown moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In damp forests, On trees, and In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is very flimsy.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
