Twistvine

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 25 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several slender, twisting stems covered in ridged, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches are very long and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of miniature, fan-like, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are either deep green, or silver with turquoise patches, tough and soft.

It produces copious amounts of small, bold orange flowers with 7 pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a faint scent that smells like lemon. In late winter it forms smallyellow, winged seeds that float and land far away.
