Coppergrass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This modest-sized, orange-yellow grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The wide stalks grow in thin clumps that are flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, copper tuft.
During the early winter, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of small grains.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
