Silvervine

This short flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its silver or pink stems grow in bunches of 4 and are thick and straight, and the giant, peach leaves are very thick with jagged edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Dozens of small flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with cream petals that gradient shift to silver on the outer edge. The central disk is sky blue. The flower head is made up of 55 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. They detach easily.

It has a soft scent that smells like bonfire smoke, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to insects.
