Clinging Copperbrush

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of slender, straight stems covered in very thick, waxy, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches are very long and thick with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of small, spiral, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are florescent yellow on the edges and aquamarine at the center, tough and clammy.

In mid-summer it produces many small, white flowers with broad, flat petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a faint scent that smells like perfume.
