Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This massive leaf succulent grows up to 111 feet (33.8 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is burgundy, and is covered in lots of rigid crimson spines. The tattered-edged, long, tapering leaves are dark red and azure. Small bunches of them grow from the base in a random bunch. The leaves are delicate, but take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with orange petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of raised narrow petals. It has a soft scent that smells like pineapple.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the blood red flesh is rough, and the magenta sap is thin.

It can survive a very long time without water.
