Burgundy Climber

This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 418 feet (127.4 meters) and growing as high as 76 feet (23.2 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 7 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 1.2 feet (36 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The very thick, fuzzy leaves reach up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) in length. They are yellow with bronze tips, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of small orange flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces lots of large seed pods.
