Yellow Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In heathlands, In bogs, and In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly flexible.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores.
