Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This giant fruit tree grows up to 58 feet (17.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 56 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in thin, rough, dark gray bark, and inside, the flexible wood is light brown.

The sparse amount of branches are long and slender and are covered with sparse amounts of large, pleated leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are found in red and cyan varieties.

In early spring, it produces a handful of large, drab purple blossoms with pleated petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like mango.

In late autumn it produces , fan-like fruit. The soft caramel skin is peel-able and inedible, and the soft dark grey flesh is sour and juicy. The white seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
