Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 362 feet (110.3 meters) and growing as high as 122 feet (37.2 meters).

It takes 16 months for the bold yellow stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 11 inches (28 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The broad, flat, clammy leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are found in orange, peach and copper varieties, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces handfuls of large crimson flowers.
