Climbing Flame

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 102 feet (31.1 meters) and growing as high as 142 feet (43.3 meters).

It takes 20 months for the beige or vibrant green stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.5 feet (46 cm) and are rough and woody.

The long, narrow, waxy leaves reach up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) in length. They are dark orange and orange, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a handful of giant florescent red flowers.
