Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas On rotten logs, and In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very hardy; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores.
