Burgundy Creeper

This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 44 feet (13.4 meters)0.

It takes 18 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and woody.

The stiff, pointed, sticky leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are crimson and gold, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces handfuls of small olive flowers.
