Copperleaf

This giant shrub grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 111 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of branched, straight stems covered in delicate, cracked, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of tiny, very narrow and elongated, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either copper, or dark grey with magenta patches, resilient and rough.

It produces lots of large, ashy yellow flowers with V-shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like cherry. In mid-summer it forms smallsilver berries.
