Caramel vine

This small vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 5 feet (1.5 meters) and growing as high as 140 feet (42.7 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 5 months for the caramel and yellow stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and woody.

The long, tapering, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are found in silver and pale purple varieties, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of small lime flowers.
