Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely frail.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores.
