Crimson vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This large vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 321 feet (97.8 meters) and growing as high as 44 feet (13.4 meters).

It takes 4 years for the silver stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.6 feet (48 cm) and are rough and gnarled.

The asymmetrical, fuzzy leaves reach up to 2.7 feet (81 cm) in length. They are crimson and peach, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of average blood red flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny fruits.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
