Silverbell

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 52 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous long and flexible, straight stems covered in paper-thin, smooth, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches are very short and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, sickle shaped, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are olive with lime tips, light and fuzzy.

It produces balls of giant, silver flowers with asymmetrical petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like vomit. In mid-autumn it forms largeflorescent green, shelled seeds.
