Crimsonvine

This small bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters)0.

It takes 2 months for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are thick and twisted.

The perforated, leathery leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are subtle green and blood red, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces balls of large amber flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces lots of large berries.
