Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In marshes.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is slightly tough.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
