Bloodvine

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big shrub grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 152 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has several narrow, wavy stems covered in fine, rough, gray bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches trail down across the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of small, spear shaped, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are green and blood red, durable and fuzzy.

In mid-summer it produces thousands of small, lime blossoms with pleated petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a soft scent that smells like pot-purri.

In mid-autumn wide fruits ripen. The smooth white skin is delicate and inedible, and the crunchy azure flesh is spicy and sour and oily. The vivid orange seed is large and is in the centre of the fruit.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for making strong rope
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
