Bronze

This short leaf succulent grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is green, and is dotted with small beige spines. The stumpy leaves are bronze and purple. Thick bunches of them grow on thick, gnarled, yellow-green branches that are long and slender. The leaves are hardy, and easily come away when pulled.

It is very slow growing, taking 38 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are amber on the underside and pink on the top grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of 25 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the slate flesh is sticky, and the violet sap is thin.
