Burgundy Conifer

This big shrub grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for around 74 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, straight stems covered in very thick, smooth, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright that and are covered with sparse amounts of huge, finger-like, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of burgundy that gradient shifts to violet at the top, rigid and fuzzy.

It produces thousands of giant, cream flowers with circular petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like skunk spray. In early autumn it forms tinygreen aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
