Crimson vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 12 feet (3.7 meters) and growing as high as 397 feet (121.0 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 5 months for the olive or lilac stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are soft and flexible.

The very narrow and elongated, soft leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are sky blue at the bottom and crimson with purple streaks at the top, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the vine produces copious amounts of small aquamarine flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces lots of small seed pods.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
