Azurefruit Tree

This massive fruit tree grows up to 60 feet (18.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 17 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in thin, wrinkled, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is copper-coloured.

The abundance of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with very large amounts of small, slender, pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are azure on the sides and pink at the center.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, bronze blossoms with shield-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like fish.

In late autumn it produces small, broad, flat fruit. The soft azure skin is thin and sweet, and the crunchy azure flesh is sweet and dry. The blood red seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
