Lime

This short cactus grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. It splits at the base to form 3 wispy stems. Each stem is lime green, and is covered in sharp spines. The spherical body is yellow-green, and is covered in hundreds of fine, subtle orange, hair-like spines.

It is slow growing, taking 22 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are black in the center, amber in the middle and silver at the edges grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of several widely spaced, narrow petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like faeces.

The cactus's skin is thick, the olive flesh is rubbery, and the faded yellow sap is thin.
