Turquoisevine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 88 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many sturdy, straight stems covered in ridged, brown bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches are very short and thick with dozens of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, pleated, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either light blue, or turquoise with silver splotches, flimsy and waxy.

In late spring it produces lots of small, orange blossoms with broad, flat petals. They are very delicate and have a mildly strong scent that smells like coconut.

In late autumn tiny long, straight fruits ripen. The smooth muted green skin is peel-able and edible when roasted; it is salty and sour, and the very soft turquoise flesh is sweet and very juicy. The subtle orange seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
