Bluebrush

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 15 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of knobbly, wavy stems covered in silky, yellow bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are short and thick with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of small, very narrow and elongated, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are solid blue or red, with bright green dots, rigid and soft.

In late summer it produces thousands of tiny, green flowers with 5 circular shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like rich perfume.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It can survive a very long time without water.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
