Peach Spine Cactus

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 64 feet (19.5 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 5 fan-like stems. Each stem is lime green or deep purple, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid peach spines. The spherical body is gold or dark grey, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid peach spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 21 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with blue petals and a cream central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is largely flat with 27 tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like rotting meat.

The cactus's skin is thin, the lime flesh is waxy, and the cyan sap is thin and causes diarrhea if consumed.
