Burgundy Creeper

This big creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 193 feet (58.8 meters) and growing as high as 68 feet (20.7 meters).

It takes 14 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.5 feet (46 cm) and are smooth and slick.

The needle-like, soft leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) in length. They are green and ashy red, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces thousands of small florescent orange flowers.
