Caramel

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 44 feet (13.4 meters) tall. The wispy stem is lime green, and is covered in lots of flexible blood red spines. The jagged-edged, slender, pointed leaves are either dark brown or silver, with light grey patches. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a random bunch. The leaves are resistant, and take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 13 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are silver at the sides and pink at the center grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 petals. It has a weak scent that smells like misty mornings.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the magenta flesh is rubbery, and the caramel sap is thin.
