Clinging Ashvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 105 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous branched, crooked stems covered in very thick, rough, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches are short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, 5 pointed, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of lime green that gradient shifts to purple at the top, rigid and leathery.

It produces many clusters of tiny, ashy yellow flowers with needle-like petals. They are very delicate and have the faintest scent that smells like burning wood. In early autumn it forms medium-sizedblood red seed pods.

It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
