Amber Puff Grass

This short, moss green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in extensive patches that are sturdy and flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, amber puff.

During the early winter, it produces lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of large grains.
