Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 205 feet (62.5 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 11 months for the copper stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and woody.

The needle-like, waxy leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are white on the sides and slate at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces thick bunches of large red flowers.


It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It is bio-luminescent.
