Burgundytwig
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 11 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has dozens of stocky, angular stems covered in hard, rough, burgundy bark, and the wood inside is yellow.
The branches are short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of miniature, long, tapering, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are red on the edges and black at the center, light and covered in fine hairs.
It produces a handful of small, beige flowers with spiral shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like rotten eggs. In late winter it forms smallblack seed pods.
