Copper Moss

This light brown and copper moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very light; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores.
