Crimson Succulent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The sickle shaped stem is yellow-green, and is covered in large amounts of rigid slate spines. The finger-like leaves are either crimson, or cyan with aquamarine edges. Small amounts of them grow on round, brown branches that are short, rigid and upright. The leaves are durable, and detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 15 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are generally red; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour, grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like a woman.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the lilac flesh is rubbery, and the crimson sap is thin.
