Amberbell

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is wispy and splits into 5 branching stems at the top, and the miniature, lime green leaves are wide with smooth edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 19 cm (7.5 inches) wide, with alternating petals of white and amber, with a dark grey central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 53 widely spaced, narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotting meat, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a variety of insects.
