Coppergrass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized, copper grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in large clumps that are flexible and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, bronze puff.
During the early autumn, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a few small grains.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It comes in 19 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
