Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In bogs, On rotten logs, and On trees.
It is big, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
