Orange Blanket Moss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In bogs, and On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is extremely tough; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores.
